To explain Burning Man to someone who hasn’t been is like describing color to the blind.
This year I lost my best friend, Tommy Weisbecker. And I got to walk into the desert with my new best friend — his husband, Vibay. Two peas in a pod, bound by love for the same soul.
Tommy always preached that the desert strips you down — takes away everything you cling to until only spirit remains.
That’s what Burning Man is. Not a music festival. No concessions, no money, no headliners. Music: yes, but no one is paid. Just the journey to get in, the dust, the heat, the storms, the silence, the gift of music. He would have loved this version of the “desert”.
The Temple is a sacred place. Vibay and I went there and joined many other grieving souls, held together in a kind of collective consciousness.
Now, My heart is full…seeing so many friends, feeling so much love. My 5th Burning Man, and somehow it still feels like the first: raw, humbling, transformative.
The desert gave us that. #burningman #burningman2025
SXSW 2025 was one for the books. ✨
Nine days of presenting, exhibiting, and spending time with some of my favorite people—best friends, brilliant minds, and inspiring innovators—who all collided in the incredible orbit that is SXSW.
I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to showcase @geniusacademyeducation and the work we’re doing to shape the future of healthcare, mental health, and beyond. But more than that, I’m grateful for the memories, the connections, and the people who made it all possible.
Until next time, Austin! ❤️

Six months have flown by since we lost dad, but in the midst of our grief, my siblings and I have found ways to keep his spirit alive, drawing strength from our shared memories and the love he wrapped us in.
A few months ago, we made a special trip to the Cayman Islands, the last place dad took us on a family vacation. This wasn’t just another trip; it was a journey of the heart. We stood together on the beach, where the gentle waves lapped at our feet, and scattered his ashes, letting him be one with a place that brought us so much joy.
In a bittersweet twist, we used dad’s treasured frequent flyer miles for this trip. He used to be so proud of those miles, always planning the next adventure for our family. By using them for this final journey, it felt like he was with us every step of the way, guiding and watching over us.
Sitting on the beach, watching the sunset, it felt weird without him: but it was like he he was right there, laying out on the beach, reminding us to cherish every moment.
As we left the Caymans, our hearts were heavy, but also full of gratitude. Dad might not be with us physically, but his spirit, his stories, and his love are things we’ll carry with us, always. Through honoring him in this way, we’ve come to see that his essence, his teachings, and his love are gifts that will never fade.
Dad, I wish you were here to hear the new Rolling Stones album…but hopefully this video captures the song I believe was intended for you. #rememberingdad❤️ #enjoythemovement #caymanislands #rollingstones #love #family #remember
Last week, we lost my dad. Yesterday would have been his 70th birthday.
I always hoped it would turn out differently….it almost broke me because I couldn’t help fix him…so I had to have faith that time would restore our kind hearted dad to honor the beautiful soul he was. Although that miracle never came while he was on this planet, it’s happened now. For those of you who have lost or witnessed a loved ones addiction - this may resonate.
As my dad took his last breath at the end, he was surrounded by those he loved. And he was finally at peace. But I am gutted beyond words. Despite his battle, he will always be remembered as the kind hearted man who took me in at 5 years old and adopted me as his own daughter, raised me, cultivated my love for rock and roll, surprises…so many things…
He sent me flowers on valentines Day and told me how proud he was to be my dad. Dad - I’m the proud one - thanks for shaping the soul I’ve become through this journey.
I’ve learned that at the end you won’t be remembered for the amount of social media posts you liked, or the amount of money you made, OR even the struggles you had inside you - but you will be remembered for the love you selflessly brought into the world and the little things that had big impact on the people closest to you.
I love you dad. Happy birthday, and happy soul transcendence day. Until we meet again. #dad #love #gratitude #loss #grief #griefjourney #lossofaparent #lossofafather
