Tammy Connor’s work has that rare quality—history and beauty so well
balanced, the rooms feel untouched by time. This project is no
exception.
At center, a Neapolitan Neoclassical walnut and marble-top table,
early 19th century—Carrara inset, original hardware, handsome and
grounded without overreaching, exactly where it belongs within the
restored Two Meeting Street Inn.

A pair of Italian Directoire Period, 1st Q 19th century demi-lune consoles, generously scaled in warm-toned walnut. Broad, rounded tops rest on clean, tapering legs, giving the pieces a composed, architectural presence. The restraint in craftsmanship brings focus to the figured walnut and its time-worn patina.

Especially after a recent trip sourcing in Italy, nothing makes me happier than seeing true, authentic restraint in furniture design.
Italian Early Neoclassical walnut armchairs, late 18th century. Defined by nearly square backrests with subtle notched tops, gracefully curved arms, and tapering arm supports—each detail deliberate, never overreaching. Molded-edge frames raised on circular tapering legs, the front legs fluted for a quiet note of refinement. Recently upholstered in a classic ticking stripe, tailored and entirely at home here.
Elegant, composed, and quietly confident—the kind of chairs that make everything around them look better.

A commanding Tuscan center table, mid-17th century and later, in richly patinated walnut with an octagonal plank top and a powerful architectural base of turned baluster legs joined by an X-form stretcher. The bold, deeply carved frieze conceals four drawers and is wrapped in a rhythmic, dentil-like pattern. Strong, rare, and beautifully timeworn… main character energy- no supporting characters needed- its the whole plot

Spent some time on our clients’ websites this week and, as always, loved seeing their work so beautifully executed. This carousel is a glimpse into the world of Meg Lonergan of Houston, where antiques, art, and thoughtful layering create a truly distinctive style and her color choices are impeccable.
