The journey is so much more chaotic than what the destination will ever show but that’s how we do it.
You may not know about the 5+ hours we spent changing the entire design, decor & schedule to accommodate a last-minute indoor wedding because of the weather or the number of calls we took to find a replacement vendor after a huge emergency because we texted you “Don’t worry about it. We got it, go to sleep!” or the fact that 650 people showed up after our final count was 615…….until of course we post the content 🙃

Thank you @verosolimanbeauty for the glam & the confidence boost ♥️ In the process of sitting in the artists’ chair for ~ 3 hours, which is pretty standard for bridal looks by the way, I learned so many things about makeup but also about myself. The one that thing truly intrigued me was something that I had previously intellectualized & only truly realized through this experience: that we are own harshest critics. We do not look at ourselves kindly & I have no clue why.
We really do think there is a norm or standard we should “meet” & it becomes so engrained in us through subtleties in daily life & society that we don’t actually even realize that we strive for a perfection that does not exist.
I am a decently confident person emotionally & truly don’t care for physical looks but as these ladies did my makeup and showered me with compliments, I caught myself wondering what they were complimenting because my mind could only pinpoint flaws among the things they complimented. What finally stopped me was when I realized I would never want my favoritest little creatures in the world, my princess and my prince iykyk to think like that & that stopped me dead in my tracks….I want to build an inner confidence so deep-rooted for the next generation that no outside factor can make it or break it & that won’t be possible till I do it for myself. Till we do it for ourselves.
Confidence comes from within. Believing in yourself & what you DO have instead of focusing on what you think you DO NOT have 🤍♥️🤍 Love yourself a little extra today.
