Jay Pelmet began DJing in 1993 during the golden era of minimal house and techno, spinning vinyl from Detroit, Chicago and Berlin. In 1994, he launched STRUM, a collective that transformed clubs and alternative venues along England’s south coast.
After relocating to Hong Kong in 1997, he co-founded Robot with Bobby Parsley, helping pioneer underground house and techno in the city. At a time when electronic music was still emerging locally, Robot became a cornerstone of Hong Kong nightlife.
Jay toured extensively throughout China and held influential residencies at CE-TOP and Yuma (now Omar), two defining venues in the city’s club history.
On the festival circuit, he performed as Robot Live with Mike The Unstoppable at Rockit Festival and has DJ-ed at Wonderfruit, along with regular appearances at Clockenflap.
Masabi’s sets are groove-heavy, genre-fluid explorations of South Asian flavours, deep house, funk and techno — warm, driving, and laced with sass, bass and bite. Born in Delhi and raised in Shenzhen, she found her way into Hong Kong’s underground through a deep love of sound.
Sensual in pacing and nostalgic in energy, her mixes are instinctive and built for movement. A resident at Salon 10, Avoca, and Moth Radio, she has played at OMA, Soho House Hong Kong, Ping Pong Gintonería, and Clockenflap.
Bobby Parsley began DJing in 1995 on a pair of 1210s in rural Devon, UK, before moving into the clubs of Bournemouth and Manchester. Influenced by institutions like Sanky's Soap and the UK free party scene, he developed a love for raw, driving underground sounds rooted in Chicago and Detroit.
After relocating to Hong Kong, he co-founded Robot with Jay Pelmet in 1998, establishing one of the city’s earliest underground house and techno platforms. Robot became a cornerstone of Hong Kong’s electronic music culture.
He toured across China and held residencies at CE-TOP and Yumla, while also performing on the Robot Stage at Clockenflap.
Decades on, Mr Parsley continues delivering bouncing house and stripped-back techno driven by tough drums, rolling basslines and unmistakable funk.
KATAGYAL’s sound is heavy on polyrhythmic beats and thumping basslines. On a mission to celebrate the roots of Black dance music, her selections span Jungle, Footwork, Afro Electronica, House, Detroit Techno and beyond.
Thanks to her decade-long experience as a musician and singer-songwriter, KATAGYAL’s sets are attentively curated, harmonic and diverse. With several notable performances under her belt – including for Clockenflap (HK), Keep Hush (UK), Hypefest (HK), Midori Festival (HK), Elijah’s Yellow Squares (UK), Eastern Margins (UK), Normie Corp (CA); as well as appearances with local collectives Yeti Out, Dark Metaz, Feed the Dragon & more – KATAGYAL is set on diversifying Hong Kong’s underground scene.
Born in France, SAM Futura has spent the last decade shaping underground scenes across Southeast Asia. After moving to Hong Kong in 2014, he co-founded Cliché Records, helping expand the city’s house and techno community.
In 2018, he relocated to Hanoi to open and lead Savage, Northern Vietnam’s first dedicated house and techno club. The venue quickly became a defining space for the region’s underground and a creative playground for Sam’s evolving sound.
Influenced by artists such as John Talabot and Roman Flügel, his sets explore 90s house, rave nostalgia and soulful, driving energy.
He has played key venues across the region, including The Observatory and festivals like Sónar Hong Kong. Now back in Hong Kong, he continues to shape dancefloors with curiosity and depth.
Mike The Unstoppable started DJing in the mid‑90s, quickly falling in love with the sounds of Detroit‑inspired minimal techno and house. He travelled to Hong Kong in the late 90s with a bag of records and, within the first few days of arriving, met the Robot crew, finding musical and creative kindred spirits that became an enduring collective and later led to the creation of Clockenflap Festival. As part of Robot, Mike has DJed for nearly 30 years across Hong Kong and China, his style evolving to blend techno and house with clear echoes of Chicago and Detroit.
Alongside DJing, Mike has always had a passion for synthesizers and drum machines, performing live as Robot with Jay and, more recently, as part of a new project called Elektro Müll.
Hong Kong–based Adrianna merges her visual design background with her musical artistry, creating immersive and emotionally layered sonic journeys. Her sound moves like a shifting breeze - soothing and expansive on the surface yet charged with raw intensity beneath.
Her selections span deep and industrial techno, groove-driven breaks, bass-led minimal and sharp electro, delivered with fluidity and unpredictability. Ethereal textures and trance-inducing rhythms define her approach, balancing comfort and chaos in equal measure.
Adrianna has performed across Asia and Europe, including appearances at Clockenflap and sessions with Kiosk Radio. Her growing regional presence reflects both versatility and depth.
She is also co-founder of Hong Kong underground collective Goldway, where she shapes the brand’s musical and visual identity, contributing as both performer and creative force within the city’s evolving electronic scene.
In just a few days, some of Hong Kong’s finest DJs gather under the banner of ROBOT for a night of Klip Klop.🤖🐎
Expect deep grooves, stripped-back techno, house and Detroit-inspired rhythms from artists who have helped shape Hong Kong’s underground for decades — alongside new voices pushing the sound forward.
