Teleoperation is changing robotics quickly.
Not because it’s the final autonomous solution everyone has been waiting for, but because it’s becoming one of the most important tools for collecting data, training behaviors, and demonstrating what the future of humanoid robotics could look like.
At RoboStore, we’re not interested in just repeating the same clips and headlines circulating online. We spend time testing different hardware, software, and workflows so we can help customers find the solutions that are actually practical, reliable, and effective for their specific goals.
That’s why we’re excited about this full-body VR teleoperation kit for the Unitree G1.
Using the PICO 4 Ultra, motion controllers, and ankle trackers, it’s one of the most natural and immersive full-body control systems we’ve worked with so far. To take it further, our team also built a more complete deployment solution with setup tools, software workflows, custom UI integrations, and optional ready-to-run bundles designed to reduce friction and help users get operational faster.
Watch the demo above to see it in action.

We just got back from @fdicindy where we got to talk with first responders to better understand their needs and work towards our goal of making advanced robotics more accessible to their teams and ultimately help them get home to their families safely. We also got to showcase the new A2 Quadruped with the Unitree team and we’re excited to get those in stock later this year. #firefighter #robotics #tech #unitree
Before the Unitree G1 hits the real world, it learns in simulation.
We use physics-based environments like MuJoCo to train movement, test policies, and validate behavior before deployment.
Faster iteration. Less risk. Better performance.

Over the past couple of years, we’ve put a lot of hard work into building Robostore the right way.
We’ve built the infrastructure to support real deployments in American robotics, and we’re proud of everything our team, partners, and customers have accomplished along the way.
Excited about the progress, and even more eager to keep the momentum going as we make advanced robotics platforms more accessible to U.S. researchers, educators, and innovators.

An update from the Robostore warehouse in New York!
We just received our largest stock of Unitree robots to date, making this one of the largest robotics inventories in North America. We’re continuing to build real infrastructure here in the U.S. to support developers, educators, and teams building the future of robotics.
If you’re interested in getting started, we’re always here to help.

The robotics industry is moving fast, but most teams are still piecing things together from YouTube tutorials, scattered GitHub repos, and fragmented documentation. That works for experimentation, but it’s not a clear path to actually deploy robots.
At #RoboUniversity, we’ve built one of the first structured course libraries designed specifically for the Unitree robotics platform, with a strong focus on the #Unitree Robotics G1 humanoid.
From getting started with the hardware to advanced development workflows and operating environments like OM1 from OpenMind, these courses are designed to help developers, research teams, and educational programs start building, deploying, and working with real robots immediately.
Whether you’re leading a robotics program, developing new applications, or bringing humanoid robotics into a lab or classroom, our goal is provide a clear path to getting started and growing your capabilities on the Unitree platform.
A stack of courses is already available, with new material continuing to roll out as the industry continues to evolve.

Policy Testing 101 at RoboStore
While some folks are busy recycling the same manufacturer clips, we’re in the lab constantly working with these robots and pushing what’s possible on this impressive hardware.
What you’re seeing here is a control policy that was trained and validated in simulation across a wide range of randomized conditions. Different surfaces, balance states, friction levels, and edge cases. Once it holds up there, we deploy it to the real robot and see how it behaves.
This is just one small test out of the many we’re doing for both client work and internal R&D, and this one got us excited.
Plenty more coming. Give us a follow and tag along!

UPDATE (Jan 22):
The third slide reflects earlier publicly available estimates. Unitree has since released an official clarification confirming 5,500+ humanoid robots shipped in 2025 (6,500+ produced). The post copy has been updated to reflect the new data.

CES 2026 made one thing clear:
Humanoids aren’t coming. They’re already here.
But flashy demos don’t equal production.
In 2025, ~14,300 humanoid robots shipped globally, led by AgiBot and Unitree. With updated figures, Unitree now represents ~38–39% of total global humanoid shipments, reinforcing its position as one of the few humanoid platforms operating at true production scale.
The real differentiator is availability.
While many humanoids remain Asia-focused or limited to pilots, RoboStore is already shipping and supporting the Unitree G1 humanoid in the US today.
Prototype, pilot, and production are not the same thing.
Status matters.
