We are moving away from the days when AI memory was just a crude list of snippets in a file. It is becoming much more fluid.
The real power now lies in contextual background. Modern models are getting better at pulling in relevant history from your past conversations automatically. You no longer have to repeat your brand guidelines or project goals every time you start a new chat.
I have noticed that these systems are essentially learning how to navigate "buckets" of information. They do not have to remember every single word at once. They just need to know which bucket to grab from when a specific topic comes up.

Do you find yourself repeating instructions to AI, or is it starting to remember your workflow?

I have realized that we often undervalue one of AIās greatest strengths: Contextual Memory.
The more data I feed into the system, the sharper it becomes. It is not just about processing information; it is about the AI acting as an "external brain" that connects dots I might have overlooked.
I have started pushing my team to use it this way more often. It will frequently bring up a relevant data point or a past conversation and Iāll think, "Of course that's relevant. How did I forget that?"

Have you ever had an AI remind you of a detail you completely forgot?

The pace of tech updates is moving faster than ever. It is easy to feel like you are falling behind if you aren't tracking every single micro-update.
The secret to staying sane? Curated focus.
Rob suggests focusing on what is core to your current work. Whether that is in the creative or technical space, you only need to master the tools that solve your immediate problems. Keep an eye on the broad trends, but give yourself permission to ignore the noise.
Tip: Choose one "core" area to master and let the rest be tangential interest.

The first time I saw @crowmedicine live was at @merlefest 20 years agoāalmost to the day, in the very same place I saw them tonight. It was a special set, playing straight through their first two albums, telling the story of the O.C.M.S. early years. It reminded me of two things. One, Iām old. Two, these fellas are mighty fine entertainers. Looking forward to two more days of them sticking around!
Iām supposed to write a deep, meaningful caption about these images, but yāall, Iām spent. Tens of thousands of people worshiping Jesus. Hundreds giving their lives to Christ and declaring it through baptism. The Lord is doing something specialāsomething enduring that is going to last for generations to come. Itās a privilege to document a little piece of that story through images.
Thereās no place on earth quite like @ravenknob . From the air, itās a quiet little valley in Lowgap, NC.
But tucked away beneath those trees are dozens of campsites and program areas serving nearly a thousand campers, leaders, staff, and volunteers.
Each Scout has his or her own story. A young man just tied his first bowline knotāheās a future rescue worker. A young woman just heard a retired Air Force veteran talk about his career in Aviation merit badgeāsheās a future pilot. One girl just put on her first skit at a campfireāa future actress. A fresh faced Tenderfoot just held a snake for a first time in the Nature areaāheāll be a zoologist. A boy who was raised by a single mom just caught his first fish after his friendās dad showed him how to tie a hookāheās going to be a great dad.
Thereās a reason I spend time every summer documenting those storiesāI was that kid, and I wouldnāt be half of who I am today without every one of the leaders and mentors who invested their time and attention in me over the years I spent in that quiet little valley in Lowgap, NC.
