Before sharing the full reveal, we wanted to highlight a formative part of the branding process for this exciting new project.
Here, the starting point was Santa Barbara. Its architecture, materials, and light. The arches, tiles, and botanical details that define its character.
There’s a personal connection as well. Rob Janoff began his career in Los Angeles, and the California coast still influences his perspective today.
From this foundation, a series of hand-drawn patterns emerged. Each one refined into a system that could extend across product and packaging.
Design research doesn’t always appear in the final expression, but it ensures every decision that a founder makes is rooted the complete view, including how locality shapes an outcome.
