Something I’m continually reminded of is this: the work of justice is so much bigger than any one of us. It’s so much bigger than one person, one government, or one organization. And while
@a21 has been on the frontlines of this fight for nearly 15 years (and we have seen tremendous progress made thus far), there is still so much work to be done. But I’ve never been more full of hope that human trafficking can, and will, come to an end.
Deeply grateful, and honored to get to work with some of the most creative, passionate, and gifted people all over the world—some of which are pictured above, all of which played a deeply significant role in the creation and distribution of this content. None more so than
@neal.johnson who has poured more hours and heart into this project year after year than I can even begin to say. Let us never forget, that the work of justice starts with us. With each and every one of us doing what we can, right where we are. Check out this year’s #GlobalBroadcast to learn how you can get involved: A21.org/Broadcast
"In small places, close to home—so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any maps of the world. Yet they are the world of the individual person; the neighborhood he lives in; the school or college he attends; the factory, farm or office where he works. Such are the places where every man, woman, and child seeks equal justice, equal opportunity, and equal dignity. Unless these rights have meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere. And without concerted citizen action to uphold them close to home, we shall look in vain for progress in the larger world." – UN Declaration of Human Rights
