I’ve always loved taking photos, I’ve just never been very good at being in them or uploading them to social media until lately.
I do hate taking selfies, I don’t think it ever stops feeling a little cringe for me… but what I hate even more is getting home and realising I’ve got no photos of the places I’ve been, or the people I shared them with. With them just getting dumped on to a hard drive never to be seen for another couple of years.
My memory isn’t the best with these things either. We move around so fast that it can all become a bit of a blur, so these photos end up meaning a lot to me when I look back on them, especially on the harder days mentally, when everything feels distant or unreal.
Somehow I still end up convincing myself I’ve done nothing lately, which is obviously very far from the truth…
Making these collages has become very therapeutic in a lot of ways too. I mostly end up playing around with them when I’m overstimulated in busy stations and airports, from the noise, the constant movement, the travelling, and everything just feeling a bit too much, a nice bit of escapism that’s not just doom scrolling.
My social media has become a digital scrapbook more for myself these days. Somewhere to store memories and reminders that life has actually happened outside of my own head, because half the time I come away from these trips thinking, “did that just happen? And anyone else who enjoys is a bonus 🤓✌️
We are serious about hydration. 🚰
Sometimes you select the wrong camera angle when you're piecing together concert footage. Sometimes that wrong camera angle catches your singer taking a moment to properly hydrate in the middle of a very groovy interlude. And sometimes... sometimes it all comes together to create a PSA on the importance of water intake in the most decidedly synthpop way.

Well out into international waters and outside the jurisdiction of the Jazz Police™️, we were finally free to work a slightly abbreviated, but nevertheless well-known and beloved melody into our live sets. The eagle eyed among you may remember how 2025's @cruisetotheedge performance of "Cloudburst" contained a very memorable bit of improvisation at the end of Shelby's synth solo, and this time it was Joey's turn. Whilst remaining true to the album version of "ResetRewind" off of 2020's Four of Fear EP, we think that Shelby's grin afterward says it all in terms of how it went over.

Another clip from our @cruisetotheedge 2026 Spinnaker set, where @hereisshelby let loose on the keys before locking in for the breakdown on "Illusions Inside" off of Mannequin. A great chance to build up to a big crescendo, the moment also allowed all of us to have a little jam towards the end of the track.

Does anything truly beat a Jet2 holiday? ✈️
Another year aboard @cruisetotheedge , and another opportunity to spice things up mid-song. We love keeping an audience on their toes, and "ResetRewind" off our 2020 Four of Fear EP gave us the perfect way to do just that. Sophisticated song structures, wild solos, and a bit of electronic madness? Sounds like a fantastic holiday to us.

We found this very Drumeo-inspired rehearsal video gathering dust on the shelves, and realized we must share. This is from Robin's rehearsals before our 2025 run of shows, and features the slightly re-worked intro to "In Motion" from 2020's Celexa Dreams album. This angle really shows off how much Robin is doing behind the kit, and even gives a sneak peek at the "sky snare" for select bits of the intro.

There's a certain sense of power that comes from having stacks of loudspeakers flanking each side of the stage, though we know it also makes for a bit of a challenge where photography is concerned. With great power comes great responsibility, and all that. Still! These photos helped transport us back to warm Caribbean Seas on this dreary Monday, and we hope they help do the same for you!
After all... if the clock is going to creep along, it might as well do so in an odd time signature. 😉

It felt invigorating to get back on stage, especially aboard the Pearl, to rock out with some of our very favourite folks. There were synths, there were guitars, there were *vibes*, and it all came together to kick off something truly special.

And that's a wrap on @cruisetotheedge 2026! With everyone back at home and shaking the sand out of our boots, we cannot express just how much of an honour it was to perform for you all on the high seas! Cruise to the Edge never fails to bring out a wide array of sounds and experiences from all across the progressive music landscape, and this year's lineup reflected that idea on a massive scale. And, once again, we are *so* glad to be a part of it.
We also hope you enjoyed the preview of our new tracks from KYRO5 ahead of their eventual release (watch this space!) But beyond new music, new friends, and new members of the KYROS Konga Line, Cruise to the Edge has once again proven a truly magical experience.
