High Tides is proud to present an unforgettable evening of world-class South African music as two legendary artists, Albert Frost and Robin Auld, take to the stage together at the Bushman’s Town Hall on Friday, 8 May.
This rare collaboration brings together two of the country’s most respected musicians, each with a rich history and unmistakable sound, for a powerful live performance in an intimate coastal setting.
Albert Frost is widely celebrated as one of South Africa’s finest guitarists. A SAMA-winning artist known for his electrifying live shows, Frost blends blues, rock, and soul into a sound that is both technically masterful and deeply emotive. Having toured internationally and built a reputation as a must-see performer, his sets are as dynamic as they are unforgettable.
Sharing the stage is Robin Auld, a platinum-selling singer-songwriter whose career spans decades. Known for iconic hits like “All of Woman”, Auld has continually evolved his sound, incorporating elements of rock, folk, and African influences. His storytelling, warm stage presence, and musical depth have made him a beloved figure in South African music.
Together, Frost and Auld promise an evening of exceptional musicianship, collaboration, and connection — a show that celebrates both legacy and live performance at its finest.
This weekend, the inaugural South Shore Festival takes place: a two-day celebration of roots music featuring fourteen bands and solo artists from the Far South music community, with a special focus on Kommetjie-based musicians including Alec Griffith, Mel Malisch, Robin Auld and Derek Craig, alongside a mix of established names and exciting new talent.
The festival takes place on 1 & 2 May at the Masque Theatre, Muizenberg.
