Behind the scenes of my board game trailer!
The biggest challenge was the landing shot, in which the camera had to start behind an object's reflection, then move through the mirror while the landscape curved... I solved it in 3D, and generally did almost zero compositing in this project.
Trailer for my board game INTENT, which can be played with everyday items.
I would love to make an opening sequence for a show, so I used this board game idea to practise in my free time.
This animation is inspired by various opening sequences of shows by Jung Jong-Yeon @jjypd , particularly "The Genius" and "The Devil's Plan". Lately these intros have been made by @superverymore - I really enjoyed the behind the scenes snippets on their website.
I made everything in this from scratch, using no pre-existing models, rigs or textures, to practise and enjoy the whole pipeline.

This is the second animation I made in June under Mike Nguyen @mylittleworld.movie at Chungkang College @ck.animation.school .
After watching everyone's solo animations, we were told to collaborate on a follow-up shot including multiple characters. When I saw Chelsea's character design I kind of wanted to kick it. I told her so and am glad she let me!

I wanted to express a child's feelings on realising that their torn teddy was repaired by a friend.
We were told to animate a simple, original character at a picnic in a park before a concert.
