I’ll be sitting down with Detroit-native Robert Schefman, whose work lives in collections including the Detroit Institute of Arts, The Broad Museum of Art, The Mint Museum and more.
We’ll talk about his creative process and current exhibition at David Klein Gallery — then transition into a 50-minute sculpt flow surrounded by the work itself.

My Garden series is a metaphor for one’s personal struggle to create and maintain growth. Like a garden, our time is short and our bodies are more fragile than we care to admit. In response we spend a lifetime looking for meaning and some perspective on time spent in the garden.” -Robert Schefman
