Izgatottan kezdtem neki a könyv olvasásának, mert nagyon ígéretesnek hangzott a címe, illetve az alapötlet is tetszett: halálsor, hét nap, verseny az idővel.
Alice a főszereplőnk megtudja, hogy édesapját hét napon belül ki fogják végezni. A rövid fejezetek címei elárulják, hogy éppen a cselekmény hány nappal jár a kivégzés előtt, ez még egy pici feszültséget ad az olvasónak.
A történet érzelmileg üt, a családi szál érdekes, de számomra túl lassan haladt. :( Alice érzelmi vívódásaira sok időt szánt az író. Édesapjával nem igazán tartották a kapcsolatot, így sok-sok gondolkodás után vette rá magát, hogy segítsen édesapjának. Sajnos sokszor éreztem úgy, hogy mehetnének gyorsabban a dolgok. :(
Nem rossz könyv, csak nem annyira pörgős, mint amire számítottam. A végkifejlet egyébként érdekes volt, nem számítottam rá! Ettől a néhány dologtól függetlenül, volt potenciál benne, nem bántam meg , hogy olvastam, de inkább a gondolkodós, lassabb thrillerek kedvelőinek ajánlom vagy kezdő thriller olvasónak!🥰

Time for another guest announcement and we are pleased to welcome Robert Rutherford to this year’s Iceland Noir festival.
Author of the Sunday Times bestseller, Seven Days and The Missing Hour, Robert had a random mix of jobs before turning to crime writing, including bookseller, pizza deliverer, karate instructor and football coach. He lives in North East England with his wife, children and overly needy dog, and is a founding member of the crime writers’ group, the Northern Crime Syndicate.
Robert’s work has also seen him win the Lindisfarne Prize for Crime Fiction in 2021 as well as shortlisted for a CWA Dagger in 2021 and 2022, and long listed in 2024.
