This was a photo I had pictured in my head, and @katelyne_ortiz_photography captured it perfectly.
I wanted a black-and-white shot of the comedians backstage—something that really shows the layers of what happens behind the scenes. You’ve got comics talking travel, stage production, and show details, while one person is off to the side rehearsing lines and locking in their set.
What makes this photo even more powerful is who’s in it: one comedian from LA, one from Delaware, one from Florida, one from Chicago, and an STL comedian in the back. Different places, different paths, all in one room for the same reason—to deliver laughter and create a great night.
This is what it’s all about.
