More from the metaphysical world of Wallace Chan. Shot in his Zhuhai studio, for Visionaire China.
Vessels of Other Worlds, in Venice in May and Long Museum Shanghai in July.

“Creativity has become a bridge between me and the unknown. On this bridge, I use matter, light, shadow and space to touch the primal vibration of life. When light passes through the gaps of metal, machinery and humanity breathe together. This is my reflection on the spirit of our era. Whether in the East or the West, humanity has always yearned to pass through matter to reach the unknown sacredness. These works are not just sculptures, but also portals from the material to the non-material world. Creativity is a process of breaking my past perceptions and shattering my obsessions. Thus, The Otherworldly Machine was not made by me, but rather, I accompanied its growth, coming into being together from the unknown. With its birth, I too, was reborn.” — Wallace Chan
