Welp, 13 yrs after remodeling our first house together, @debramilam and I are heading on to the next one. This one goes on the market this weekend and boy will we miss it. If you know anyone awesome who is looking for a house, let ‘em know! I’ll link to the listing in stories.

I don’t even want to be making this post but there’s just too many good memories not to share. We lost Neal last week and it’s completely gutted me. There’s nothing this guy wouldn’t do for his friends. Or for anyone really. A lot of us have our fans and our detractors, but everyone loved Neal. He was the one inviting others in. He was the one who brought people together. — Most of my photos with Neal are blurry. I think that's fitting, really … because this is how I’ll remember him: standing back on the banquette of some club, belting out 50 Cent, happy as he watches his friends enjoy the party that he brought them to. Neal - thank you for the memories, and for always making me feel included at the party.

Ford looks a lot like I did at his age and, while his personality is more like Debra’s, I can’t help but flashback to 8 year old Robert when I look at him some times. When I took this photo on the edge of a very foggy Lake Texoma he was exploring the pools along the beach, looking for treasures and testing his ability to leap from one island to another. Then he stopped and looked out across a fuzzy expanse that felt a lot like his future and mine. I have no idea what he was thinking. Probably more than he’d ever tell me. But there was something comforting and terrifying about the whole thing. #fordmilam
