The logic of āget your resume in front of as many people as possibleā only works if thereās a person on the other end with time to read it. And right now, applications are so flooded with resumes because of all the AI tools that enable instant applying, that there isnāt. So flooding the zone doesnāt get you more chances, because thereās just no way to prepare truly high quality applications⦠to hundreds of jobs. It mostly just gets you filtered out faster.
The candidates getting calls are the ones who made it easy for an exhausted hiring manager to immediately connect the dots. Thatās a very different goal than āapply to everything and hope something sticks,ā and honestly, itās a more solvable one.
