Spring = skincare transition season âď¸
A few simple changes I make every year once the weather warms up:
1ď¸âŁ I switch from a heavier moisturizing cream to a lighter gel-based moisturizer - personal favorite @no7usa Derm solutions 5in1 serum
Less heaviness, less grease, still hydrated.
2ď¸âŁ I add gentle exfoliation with a glycolic + salicylic acid wash
This helps brighten skin, unclog pores, and smooth texture without overdoing it.
3ď¸âŁ I restart polypodium leucotomos
Think of it as internal support against UV damage â NOT a replacement for sunscreen, but a helpful adjunct especially heading into sunnier months.
Your skincare routine should evolve with the seasons. Comment your changes belowđ

I noticed some minor shedding and thinning recently (and by me actually @rogeriocavalcante told me when he was cutting my hair), so I wanted to address it early instead of waiting for it to progress. @robertfinneymd had photographed my hair over a year ago so we were able to see that it did thin just a little bit. After talking with him we decided to move forward with a series of PRP treatments combined with a topical he blended. This was my second treatment and Iâm going back for a third in a few weeks. He is so speedy this video is over 2 minutes long but the actual injections are under a minute. Thank you Dr. Finney for helping me preserve my locks.
Bridal prep Q&A â Part 3 đ°đťââď¸â¨
Let me save you from predatory influencer marketing for a second.
âPeptidesâ are everywhere right nowâŚ
but the reality is, the science just isnât there yet for most of whatâs being pushed.
A lot of these products:
𧪠arenât regulated
𧪠labeled for âresearch useâ
𧪠and you donât always know what youâre actually getting
And right before your wedding?
Not the time to experiment.
There are plenty of great, well-formulated topicals that already include peptides safely.
Wait for the science.
Donât be a guinea pig.
You only have one face.

If your hairline looks like itâs under attack, ask yourself one simple question:
âIf this gets worse⌠will it bother me?â
If the answer is yes â donât wait.
Genetic hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) is progressive and untreated, it is undefeated. It doesnât stabilize on its own. And by the time itâs obvious, youâve already lost a significant amount of density.
The good news?
Caught early, we can often stop it in its tracks â with simpler, more affordable treatments. No need to jump straight to expensive in-office procedures.
The biggest mistake I see?
Guys who wait⌠and wish they didnât.
Save your hair. Save your time. Save your money.

If a brand has to tear down minoxidil to sell you something⌠thatâs your red flag đŠ
Weâre seeing more and more companies (supplements, lasers, ânaturalâ solutions) subtlyâor not so subtlyâshame minoxidil:
âDoesnât work.â
âOnly temporary.â
âCauses shedding so itâs bad.â
Letâs be clear:
Minoxidil is one of the most studied, FDA-approved treatments we have for hair loss. Period.
Is it perfect? No.
Does it require consistency? Yes.
Does it work? Also yes.
And letâs talk about cost for a secondâ
Minoxidil is often a fraction of the price of the exact products trying to discredit it.
So when a brand builds their entire pitch around why minoxidil is âbadââŚ
what theyâre really telling you is they canât compete on evidence or price.
Donât fall for marketing dressed up as medicine.
If youâre actually concerned about hair lossâskip the noise and stick with whatâs proven.

Hair shedding right now?
Take a breath â this can be normal.
Seasonal shedding is real.
Some people shed more in the spring and again at the end of summer (almost everyone does).
So more hair in your brush or shower â something is wrong.
But if itâs:
âŞď¸ lasting longer than usual
âŞď¸ heavier than your baseline
âŞď¸ or youâre seeing thinning
Get it checked.
We can look at bloodwork, meds, and help reduce shedding + speed regrowth.
Donât panic â just know when to act.

On this weekâs episode of people trying âanything but what actually works for hair lossââŚ
đĽ drumroll please⌠nettle đż
As I shared in my feature with @marieclairemag
thereâs no real clinical evidence that nettle regrows hair â just theory + wishful thinking.
Can it support scalp health? Maybe.
Is it a treatment for hair loss? No.
If youâre actually worried about hair loss,
stop DIYâing your way through it and see someone who knows what theyâre doing.
Your hair deserves better than internet guesses.

Bridal prep Q&A â Part 2 đ°ââď¸â¨
âIs there any expensive skincare actually worth it before my wedding?â
First rule: donât start overhauling your routine too close to the big day.
But⌠there are exceptions.
Right now, while sheâs doing lasers and in-office treatments, I had her add Plated Intense Serum.
Why:
⨠Helps stimulate collagen (superficial + deep)
⨠Enhances results from your treatments
⨠Minimizes downtime
Yes â itâs an investment.
But in the right setting, itâs worth it.
Before your wedding, itâs not about trying everythingâŚ
itâs about choosing what actually works.
Part 3: peptides đ

Part 1: the non-negotiables for looking your best on the big day â
đ There arenât many better feelings than when your Botox kicks in⌠IYKYK
But for your wedding, timing matters more than people think.
4â8 weeks out is the sweet spot â enough time for it to fully settle and make subtle tweaks so everything looks effortless.
And yes⌠a little in the hairline = no sweat, no makeup meltdown.
âď¸ Melasma brides, this oneâs for you
Oral polypodium leucotomos = your sunscreenâs backup plan.
Think of it as internal protection to help minimize flares when youâre in the sun all day.
The biggest mistake? Waiting too long.
The best results come from a plan â not a last-minute fix.
Part 2 coming soon đ

The internet: âMinoxidil is toxic to pets!!!â đą
Also the internet: forgets common sense exists
Yes, it can be toxic â so store it properly, clean up spills, and donât let your pet lick your scalp.
Youâll be fine. Your pet will be fine.
