3 big fish and a cat in the art world! Earlier this week we got to sit down with @godwinbradbeer @andreahuelinartist and @robertearp to talk and prepare for the opening talk at this year’s Inner West Art Fair on opening day (October 17th @ 12pm). All we can say is we know this will be filled with LOTS of laughs and insights into their point of view. Everyone is welcome to join us, maybe prepare a tricky question you can ask them on the day 😉 ! The first look at all the art on show and to hear these incredible artists talk is one part of the fair you cannot miss. . . . . #innerwestartfair2025 #iwaf2025 #australianartists #andreahuelin #godwinbradbeer #robertearp #artiststalk

You have THREE days left to dive into our Obscuratorium before it closes, please join us for a glass of prosecco at the Finissage on the last day. Sunday 4th May, 12pm to 4pm, in the Gallery at Gasworks Arts Park, 21 Graham Street, Albert Park. Enter through the metal leaf gate and past the cafe into the main building. For those who have purchased, you may pick up your artworks from 3.30pm. Bring with you something obscure......Kitty Calvert’s next project is a large interactive steel sculpture in the shape of a stack of vintage books in red and gold, to be installed in Gasworks Arts Park towards the end of May. We would love it if you would bring something unique (smaller than a wine bottle) to the Finissage, which will be interred under the sculpture at the time of installation. Please put your name on the piece, or you may wish to write something, we trust the treasure trove will be uncovered and pondered upon at sometime waaay in the future. #kittycalvert #robertearp #finissage #obscuratorium #artmelbourne

Two of our favourite images Phantom Portal (left) and Memoria (right). A beautiful vintage Victoria sewing machine, found on the side of the road during lockdown by a neighbour with a keen eye. Just one of the stories of treasure and how it makes its way to us and into our artworks. Stories of our Obscuratorium coming soon to a You Tube channel near you. Stay tuned. In the meantime, our Obscuratorium exhibition is open daily at Gasworks Arts Park until May 4th. Please come along for a deep dive. The artists will be in the gallery this Saturday 19th April from 10-1pm. #obscuratorium #robertearp #kittycalvert #surrealart #dollart #oldsewingmachine #vintagesewing #vintagesewingmachine #vintagemannequin

Mystery question - anyone know the guy in the photo - bottom left?? We looove it that someone is dropping their own vintage photographs into Mr Kitty’s family collection of vintage postcards. And on the trunk that came to Australia with Mrs Kitty’s mother in 1954. When we said it was an immersive experience, we didn’t expect treats like this. Our exhibition Obscuratorium is on daily until May 4th. In the words of Molly Meldrum - do yer selves a favour…. If you are the photo dropper, we would love to meet you. We will be in the exhibition next Saturday 19th April (which happens to be my birthday). Come down say hi, or sing to me….. #obscuratorium #robertearp #kittcalvert #vintagepostcards #oldtrunks
