@kendrahopephotography is amazing! She does beautiful work, I tend to be pretty akward behind a camera and she made the whole thing feel so relaxed and fun. If you are in Winnipeg I can’t recommend her enough! Starting the new year off strong by finally updating these headshots from the ones whit did a decade ago…. Next up, on the 2025 list restoring my website which I’ve let run fallow since 2018!
CDMX blew my mind. A vivid metropolis in a tug of war with nature just bursting through all things. Was so fun do do this 40th bday trip with friends of 35 years. @lorid87@michelle.everton22@moni.baloney
Second poster in this series for @thepaperkites massive tour all over the world. Leaning into themes of holding on , unraveling, and growth, that quiet tension between being bound up in something — the allure of change and finding a sense of steadiness within the consistent. Dualities between the new and old, coming and going, growth and staying the same.
This one felt really connected to the idea of being held through change.
So very Grateful to be part of this and to work with such a thoughtful band. Their songs feel like the textures to the fabric of life.
The best part of my job is the places it takes me.
I feel so grateful to connect with people and communities all over the world — sometimes without ever leaving my desk. Working on the festival graphics for @downtown_wytheville felt like traveling there myself.
I imagined the rhythm of the day — a parade of kids on bikes, music spilling into the streets, downtown coming alive as people gather to celebrate the Fourth of July among these beautiful, familiar landmarks.
My role in projects like this is to synthesize those moments — to take pieces of place, memory, and atmosphere and bring them together into something that feels whole.
Really grateful to the team for trusting me with that process — the pride and energy that you feel for your town is beaming all the way over here and felt in Winnipeg.
@winnipegfolkfestival lineup dropped last night and I’m still riding high on the excitement. What an incredible group of artists heading to Birds Hill this summer. 🌞🎶
When I started working on the artwork for this year (in a cold, grey Winnipeg November), I kept coming back to the feeling of arriving at the festival grounds — that moment when the trees exhale from the cold months and open up, the music surfing the warm prairie breeze, and it feels like the sun itself is wrapping the whole field in a hug. From above, the crowd at the main stage almost looks like a giant heart — just love beaming out as our community gathers around music.
The emblem this year grew from that idea: Folk Fest as a hug to our city. The rays of the sun, the strings of the banjo, and the wooden planks of the Meeting Place all radiate outward — wrapping us up together.
Folk Fest has always felt like a giant musical family reunion to me, and designing something that holds that spirit is such an honour. @cfrayer did an incredible job curating this lineup!
Can’t wait to see all these songs, stories, and sun-soaked moments come to life this summer. See you at Birds Hill.
@thepaperkites have been bringing magic across the globe as they tour their newest album “if you go there I hope you find it” if you haven’t listened to it yet I hope you will and if they happen to visit your home town this is a show you won’t want to miss! Loved doing these merch pieces for them inspired by lavender blooms and rabbits hoping around the Brussels sprout farm where this was recorded
