At 62 years old, I stepped onto the floor at HYROX.
Thousands of athletes. Some just beginning. Some at the top of their game.
And there I was — fighting for every meter, every rep, every breath.
Recovery now is tough. The inflammation is real. My body feels the miles. But quitting was never an option.
This race was for one of my coaches — she was in my mind the entire time.
And for my daughter — who watched women of all ages show up and give everything they had.
I wanted her to see that strength doesn’t expire.
That courage doesn’t age out.
That grit only deepens with time.
We are not “too old.”
We are experienced.
We are resilient.
We are strong.
To every woman wondering if she should try — this is your sign.
Keep showing up.
Keep fighting.
Keep proving that power has no age limit.
