This one’s been a long time coming.
It really started with something simple…
just sitting down and trying @bajarootsaz for the first time. But that moment turned into asking questions, wanting to know more, and eventually sitting down with Em and hearing her story.
From there, it stuck with me.
I remember speaking with @hellaclose , talking through the idea, and from that point on we both knew this was something we had to bring to life. We sat down with Em again, had deeper conversations, and really took the time to understand not just what she does.. but who she is and what Baja Roots stands for.
As creatives, we get the opportunity to step into moments like that and actually tell these stories. To take something real, something lived, and bring it to life in a way that people can feel, not just see.
This mini documentary is a glimpse into Em’s life, but it also represents something much bigger. It’s the reality of small business owners.. people who created something of their own, the long days, the unseen work, the roots, and the grit behind it all.
We’re excited to finally share this.

For a long time, I told myself I wasn’t ready…
that I wasn’t worthy, that I had more to fix before I could fully step into this.
But the truth is.. it was fear.
And I refuse to let fear dictate my relationship with You.
Deep down, I knew it was time. So I let go.
I stepped in. And I surrendered.
And in that moment, I felt free.
