From all over we come to serve, to join the fight to return as a triumphant hero. We never expect to be the one to come home in a box, but some do. It’s all glory and Valor, until it isn’t. We pray for the dead and commemorate their sacrifice, and so we should, but they too wanted to return home and didn’t.
And who is it for? Those who tell us to go aren’t wearing our shoes, but they are happy to buy others a pair and send them off to be the lost treasures of a generation. I’m lucky, but … I apologise to the families of the fallen and lost souls. It’s as much our fault as it is the politicians. Will we learn?
Lest We Forget.
I still have a few prints left from the recent DVA members exhibition. A3 in size and ready to go, $150 posted to your door! It was a limited run of 12 on cotton rag.
