Together, we have proven that when California fights, we win. This is why I have decided to continue my campaign to earn another term as your Attorney General.

The court has ordered the city of Huntington Beach to pay financial penalties in our lawsuit against them for violating CA housing law
Huntington Beach officials’ NIMBY, anti-affordability actions have broken the law, squandered their residents’ valuable tax dollars, & shirked their public responsibility
Time to stop the performative politics and follow the law — or face even higher penalties

CA AG Rob Bonta: They just want to use fraud as a political weapon — to bludgeon and use it as a cudgel to hurt blue states.

In the middle of an affordability crisis, Trump has worked overtime—and even gone so far as to break the law—to further raise your prices
Twice he’s inflicted illegal tariffs on the American people
Twice we’ve stopped him
Proud we secured a court order declaring Trump’s second tariff regime illegal
Americans deserve better than a president who victimizes them with unlawful price hikes
We’ll keep fighting Trump‘s efforts to make your life more unaffordable

As California’s Attorney General, I’ve confronted the housing affordability crisis head-on — fighting federal cuts to housing assistance programs and attempts to roll back anti-discrimination protections.
I’m also holding landlords and cities accountable for violations of housing protections, cracking down on price gouging, and standing up for tenants across California.
And we’re not stopping.
May 5 is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples —a time to honor lives lost and recommit to action.
My office is working in partnership with tribal leaders to confront this crisis head-on. We’ve implemented the Feather Alert system—modeled after the Amber Alert—to improve public notification when Indigenous people go missing, especially women and girls.
We’re also partnering with Tribal communities to host community-based reporting and support efforts, where families can report missing loved ones, submit DNA, and access critical resources.
At the same time, we’re strengthening data collection, improving investigative tools, and working to remove barriers to justice, including jurisdictional challenges.
Every family deserves answers. And we will keep working to ensure Indigenous communities are seen, respected, and protected.
Vice President @kamalaharris Harris’ endorsement means the world to me.
She knows what this work requires, and she knows California deserves an AG who will never back down. I’m honored to have her support.
California is setting records across the board.
We’ve reached the lowest rates of firearm deaths, suicides, and homicides on record—driven by smart, sustained investments in gun violence prevention.
But this progress is under threat.
The same strategies delivering these results are now facing devastating federal funding cuts and expiring state and local support.
That’s why my office has released a new report outlining data-driven strategies and priority investments to keep California moving forward.
ICYMI: California AG @robbonta announced the rate of gun violence in his state is the lowest it's been since 1968. That’s what prioritizing public safety looks like.
Honored to be endorsed by The Sacramento Bee in my campaign for re-election as California Attorney General!
“There are three candidates running to be the next Attorney General of California but only one of them is qualified and fit for the job. . . .
[H]is office has recovered or protected $200 billion in federal funds Trump tried to withhold…
He also has a strong record of enforcing state housing regulations and renter protections, investigating reports of civil rights abuses and taking on antitrust cases…
We endorse Bonta because he is on the right side of housing and civil rights law”
