Day 10. We have reached the southern terminus of the Michinoku Coastal Trail at Sōma City, Fukushima Prefecture. The trailhead sits within a garden of flowers and wood carvings created by visiting artisans. Later we visited the Sōma Nakamura shrine, home to sculptures of the horse emblem characteristic to Sōma. From here on we follow the Fukushima Coastal Trail which continues south to Iwake.
Day 10. The observation deck at Watari where we were guided around the mountain by Suzuki San. From there we visited the Nakahama Primary School, now a museum dedicated to disseminating the lessons learned from the schoolchildren’s survivial.
Day 7-9. After filming the trail in Tagajo and Natori we took a brief break in Sendai, meeting with our friends at Japan Airlines. Today we were working on a scene involving a JAL aircraft in takeoff, followed by visits to the Iwanuma memorial monument and the Daioji Temple.
Day 5 & 6, exploring the peninsula of Oshika. Guided by local trail partner @aki_matsui_ , accompanied by his dog Tangerine, we visit the island of Kinkasan, home to sacred deer and the dragon god of luck.
Day 4. Capturing a Deer Dance on the Okirai beachhead, traditionally performed to ward off demons. Later we visited legendary carpenter Sakamoto San, known for building memorial sculptures and wood-carved shrines.
Day 3. Revisiting the Goshi Coast and Shiome.
潮目 しおめ Shiome in Japanese means a junction line between two sea currents, the house rebuilt from the post-tsunami wreckage acts as a the pilgrimage point for hikers across the MCT.

Elemental has taken London’s Tate Modern as one of the inspirations for their stripped-back design, incorporating the original silos from the mill as a forest of columns to provide shade.

Had the chance to visit the Librairie Acqua Alta during some down time in Venice. I’ve never seen a Giallo novel in the flesh and it was amazing to find an entire sea chest of them inside.
