Never in a million years did I think I’d be writing this. As I type these words I sit confused, heartbroken and just defeated.
To call you my brother would be the biggest understatement ever. It’s really like we grew up together gang. Even though we met here at UA it felt like a lifetime I knew you Bet. We spent so much time together gang, spun so many blocks, laughed together, n all but bro it was so much bigger than that, and you and I know it all too well.
You are the one of the main reasons I even had a shot at actually full time modeling in NYC, because you gave me the platform and worked with me when I ain’t have a dollar to throw at a photographer. You gave me world view perspective being from and entirely different country half way across the world. You called me out when I was being arrogant or air-headed and may have said things that weren’t the easiest on the ear. But most importantly Bet you were real, 💯 authentic through and through. And that’s all I could have ever asked for out of a friend…out of family.
A man amongst boys gang, that’s the timing you were on. Business first as it should have been, but you still made time to pop out with the family…even though we dragged you out half the time 🤣. Cause you was always comfortable chilling dolo and I hated that, cause why you ain’t want to spin all the time with us bro💔?
We made so many memories bro, stayed up till the sun rose just arguing back n fourth about shit that really ain’t matter 🤦🏽♂️ but that created some of the best conversations we ever had. You are the greatest photographer I’ve ever met. And also one of the greatest people. Seeing you learn a new skill every other week really motivated me to get off my butt and really learn how to do things on my own.
You were self taught for everything. And self made from the start. I could go on and on…but ig ain’t meant for that. But what I will say is this…we will meet again Bet, I promise you. But until that fateful day, rest easy Mad Prophet. Imma take care of things from here 🫂
