I can't think of a better way to celebrate #fortyfivefriday than to sign up for the 1911/2011 Mastery Course that my pal Rob Leatham and I are offering in February 2026. 😁 😁
The class will take place on February 27/28 and March 1, 2026 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and is being conducted at Rio Salado Sportsman’s Club in Mesa, AZ. The class is focused on promoting better understanding of the 1911/2011 pistol from both a mechanical and shooting perspective.
Days 1 & 2 are split 50/50 between the range and the classroom. The morning session is focused on shooting the 1911/2011 platform while the afternoon sessions take a deep dive into operation, function, and details of the 1911/2011 system. Day 3 is spent 100% on the range with various shooting excesses and stages that allow each student to further practice and hone the skills and techniques covered during the previous range days.

Just wanted to give a shout out to all of the members of “Team Hydrate”... HaHa!! Couldn’t figure out why everyone was giving me water and checking on me? I very much appreciate all of your gestures and support - because I felt pretty good by the end of the day on Saturday! This is definitely “our” national championship trophy!
