A returning favourite has hit the shelves and our online store.
Our Gathaithi AA is a small batch roast with specifically chosen varieties from the Nyeri region in Kenya.
We’ve been bringing this coffee in from the Gathaithi Farmer’s Coop in Nyeri for 10 years now and it never fails to blow us away.
This is a washed coffee, roasted specifically for filter to accentuate it’s fruit forward character. This batch has a gorgeous, rich caramel backbone which allows the bright fresh melon and floral notes to shine.
Online and on the shelf now, available on the bar from this weekend.

A look back at 2025. So many highlights
This year we turned 10 years old as a roastery. It’s been a few years of ups and downs as a business, that being said this year we really found our groove.
Travelling to Brazil, catching up with Natalia again in Jaguara. Visiting the infamous Dayerra Peru and sourcing direct from our own unique lots with Pepe. A trip to Colombia and getting to meet Linarco Rodriquez after years of admiration, going directorate with him. This trips were an amazing opportunity to go deeper in our relationships with our producers.
We turned one 🎈 in our roastery and cafe in Kilcoole in July with zero photo evidence (just a new pergola that was installed the same day).
We added a bakery to the Roastery Shop and shifted gears and thankfully this is excelling.
Coffee prices were a major problem but we found new ways of buying to help.
It was an amazing year and we are so excited to see what 2026 brings

It’s been a whopper team effort over the last two years, running a growing business, growing a solid team, dealing with an old building and staying switched on and available for our customers, so for this years Christmas party we shut up shop for two days and took the night away as a team.
We walked, took saunas, chilled in the hot tub, ate like champions, did breathwork, talked, laughed, shared a tear, hugged and thoroughly celebrated and enjoyed each other.
Huge thanks to our epic team front and back in Roasted Brown, you make us proud. Also massive thanks to @thedeerstone for hosting like a boss and to @chill.with.mary for taking the team to another place together.
