Guess what? New DUO46 coming your way! 🇨🇴🇧🇷 We gave you a little peak in our stories that we got A LOT of Brazilian coffee last week. It’s a new harvest from a farm that’s really close to our hearts, Fazenda Aranquã, that’s owned by Luca Allegro (more about that later in the week 😉). ⛰️ And new harvest of Brazil Fazenda Aranquã calls for an updated DUO! This time, we have decided to switch it up a little and after a long time of having Ethiopias in the blend, we’re using ⅓ of our Colombia Ciprés together with ⅔ of Brazil Fazenda Aranquã, that you all know and love. 🍎🍯🍫 Come by, taste the new blend in your favourite espresso based drink or even as a pour over and let us know what you think! 😍 #newduo #roastcom #copenhagencoffee #specialitycoffee #roastcoffee

A new natural processed coffee on the shelf — Rwanda Mushonyi ✨ Grown near Lake Kivu, at elevations from 1,600-1,950 MASL, this coffee comes from around 1,200 smallholder farmers. Each one typically has just around 300 coffee trees, often alongside bananas and eucalyptus to generate additional income. 🍌 Mushonyi washing station has a unique history — it was built by the army to handle large volumes of cherries, and it is still maintained today even when the capacity exceeds the volume of coffee cherries being delivered. 🪖 After harvest, coffee cherries go through a strict sorting process: removing any lower quality fruit through flotation, followed by inspection for any visual defects by trained staff. Then they’re sun dried on raised beds and turned regularly. The result of this long process? A beautifully smooth and balanced cup full of raspberries, apples and prunes in the taste. 🍎 We highly recommend trying it on espresso! 😉 #rwanda #roastcom #copenhagencoffee #specialitycoffee #roastcoffee

Coffee from above the clouds ☁️ Our new Indonesia Laga Lizu, which translates from Bajawa language to “above the clouds”, comes from island of Flores, one of Indonesia’s most celebrated coffee regions. The town of Bajawa is home to a unique matrilineal culture, where land is passed down through women, and many coffee farms are owned and managed by them. 👭 The coffee here thrives in volcanic soil that’s full of nutrients fed by the nearby active volcanoes Inerie, Ebulobo, and Wawomudha. While the island of Flores is known for classic processing methods, it has recently introduced anaerobic fermentation—bringing new depth and different flavour profiles to their coffees. In this cup that is processed as anaerobic honey, you’ll find notes of raisins, grapefruit and chocolate. 🍊🍫 Let us know what you think! ☕ #womenincoffee #roastcom #copenhagencoffee #specialitycoffee #roastcoffee

We’re back with some fresh beans! 😏 No new colours on the shelf (so you might have not noticed!) but we are bringing you new Ethiopia Ayla and new Kenya Riakiberu! ☝️ Ayla is an Ethiopian coffee that you might recognize from our DUO blend. 🇪🇹 Yes, it’s the one that’s making our blend a little fruity! The Ayla washing station was established in 2018 by Faysel Abdosh and his company Testi Specialty Coffee. For this coffee, ripe cherries are handpicked, carefully sorted, fermented for 36–48 hours, then washed and dried on raised beds for even drying. ☀️ What comes out is a beautiful cup full of strawberries, oranges and floral notes. 🍓🍊🌸 And from Murang’a County, Kenya. 🇰🇪 Riakiberu Factory was founded in 1994 and they work with around 1,500 smallholder farmers growing mainly SL28, along with Batian and Ruiru 11. Ripe cherries are depulped, fermented for 12–24 hours, washed, and slowly dried on raised beds for 10–22 days. In this coffee you’ll find notes of peach, apple and honey. 🍑🍏🍯 Enjoy them out in the spring weather that’s finally come to Copenhagen! 🌤️ #newin #roastcom #roastcoffee #copenhagencoffee #copenhagen

Have you seen some new faces in our shops? That’s Julien and Iliana! 🇫🇷🇬🇷 Meet Julien, who joins us from France. He also recently lived in Canada, where his passion for coffee truly began. 🇨🇦 While wandering through Montreal and Quebec, he explored local cafés and the world of specialty coffee. He even visited his godfather’s coffee farm in the Dominican Republic — a pretty special experience for any coffee lover. ⛰️ If you’ve already seen him behind the bar, you’ll know he has the warmest smile that will make your day. ☺️ Outside of work, Julien is a big sports fan. Football (especially Paris Saint-Germain ⚽), rugby — you name it, he’s into it. He’s also planning to start playing tennis soon, so if you’re looking for a partner, feel free to reach out! 🎾 Next up is Iliana — originally from Greece, but with a heart that has belonged to Copenhagen for a long time. ❤️ She’s currently studying Nature Management at UCPH, focusing on urban nature planning. Her goal? To help make cities greener and better for both people and nature. 🌳 Coffee is another big part of her world. She loves experimenting with different beans and recipes, and has a soft spot for funky fermented coffees and floral cups. 🎆 Her coffee journey is also documented on her Instagram project “BREWBIE” (follow? wink wink 😉). When she’s not behind the bar serving you great coffee, sharing smiles, or stopping mid-shift to admire your dogs, you’ll probably find her by the water — cold dipping in the sea, on a boat or just soaking up the sun! 🌊☀️ Give them both a warm welcome as we couldn’t be happier that they joined the team! 🤗 #newstaff #peopleofroast #roastcom #copenhagencoffee #welcomeonboard

Two new Colombias just landed on the shelf 🇨🇴 Our new PREMIUM Colombia comes from Finca El Ciprés, located in Planadas, southern Tolima, in the foothills of the Central Andes. Part of the ASEMPROGROGROPE association, the farm brings together several families with a shared vision for exceptional, sustainable coffee. Of its 20 hectares, 6 are dedicated to coffee, where resilient varieties like Caturra and Castillo thrive in fertile volcanic soils. 🌋 In the cup, expect notes of apple, caramel, and chocolate—our go-to everyday brew at the roastery, and hopefully yours too. 🍎🍫 The second release is part of our World Class selection. From the landscapes of Huila near the historic town of San Agustín, El Higuerón is a third-generation family farm run by Fabiola Ortega and Julio Muñoz. Blending tradition with innovation, they grow both classic and exotic varieties like Pink Bourbon, Geisha, and Sidra, surrounded by fruit and native trees and nourished by their own water source. Before they fully decided for coffee, they tried to cultivate other agricultural products, like tomatoes. 🍅 Well, let’s just say we are happy they stuck with coffee! 💛 In the coffee, you’ll find delicate floral notes, bright hints of raspberry, and a touch of maple syrup. 🍁🌸 #colombia #cipres #higueron #roastcom #copenhagencoffee

Guess what? A fresh batch of cascara arrived at our roastery just a couple of days ago! 🍒 If you’ve tried it before, you’ll know cascara is the dried outer skin of the coffee cherry, which we brew at ROAST as a beautifully tea-like drink (fun fact: it has a similar caffeine level to green tea). You can expect delicate notes of rosehip, red currant, and rooibos tea—perfect drink for cozy days like these. ☁️ This cascara comes from the farm Las Lajas in Costa Rica, run by third-generation producers Oscar Chacón and his wife, Francisca. Set underneath the Poás volcano, Las Lajas has been producing coffee since 1840 and is known for its commitment to organic and sustainable farming. 🌱 Unlike cascara that’s treated as a byproduct, only the ripest and sweetest cherries are selected here. Oscar gives cascara the same care and attention as his renowned coffees, which results in a clean and fruity cup shaped by its unique terroir. 🌋 We couldn’t wait to pack it—so you’ll already find it in all our shops, ready to enjoy on the bar or take home with you. #cascara #coffeecherry #newcascara #costarica #laslajas #thirdwavecoffee #roastcom #roastcoffee #specialitycoffee #copenhagencoffee #copenhagen #fromfarmtocup #oscarchacon #natural #newin #comeandtaste

🇸🇻 New 50-50 coffee on the shelf - welcome El Salvador! 🇸🇻 Producer Carlos Pola has dedicated his life to redefining what specialty coffee can be. Coming from a family of coffee farmers and a background in the textile industry, Carlos applied principles of quality control, efficiency, and data management to coffee production at Finca Las Brisas, which he purchased in 1997 and began running full-time in 2012. 🧑‍🏭 Today, the farm features its own lab for experimenting with processing methods, ensuring quality, and educating workers in specialty coffee. Carlos also developed a traceability system that tracks coffee from harvest all the way to shipping. With a strong focus on sustainability, he has reduced chemical inputs through innovative planting systems, shade management, and beneficial fungi. 🍄 Beyond his own farm, Carlos actively works with other producers, helping them adopt these practices and strengthen their communities through better coffee. 🤗 In this coffee you’ll experience notes of chamomile, plum and caramel. 🍵🍯 And a little sneak peak, it might not be the last time you see Carlos’s name in relation to ROAST, keep an eye 😏 #elsalvador #newcoffeesontheshelf #brisas #thirdwavecoffee #roastcom #specialitycoffee #copenhagencoffee #copenhagen #fromfarmtocup #naturalexperimental #newin #comeandtaste
