lost in the desertā¦
ā¦the desert isnāt all cacti and scorpions.
my favorite kind of desert are the scenes youāll find in moab, utahāthe high desertāwhere things get dusty and rocky. if it requires clearance and 4x4, itās my jam.
the wide open spaces and quiet calmness has a way of centering me.
hereās a few clicks from when i roamed the desert with a few friends.
photos that arenāt ai.
this is a real place in utah.
the mosquitoes, however, arenāt real. they bite through clothing which is very disrespectful, if you ask me.
if you visit, deet is your friend.
that moment when the š stopped and stared at meā¦
earlier on the morning this shot was captured, i told the crew i was manifesting @christopherballadarez because he saw big horn sheep at this road and captured an š„ shot.
a few minutes later, a small heard of them crossed the road and two of them stationed themselves right in this spot.
i was in my own world taking pics of random things and almost missed it. by the time, i made my way over, only one was standing in this spot and i swear it posed for me.
every time iām in vegas, i visit valley of fire state park. iāve seen big horn sheep on each visit but never like this.
have you been?

a stroll through washington, d.c. during spring | šø
ā¦a small collection of dc waking up from winter from over the last few years.
peak cherry blossom bloom is now. get it while ya can.
Metro Blooming | Washington, D.C. š šø
spring is here in dc and this time, mostly good weather will coincide with peak cherry blossom blooms.
the ones blooming currently are of the yoshino variety. later on, the kwanzans will start blooming.
this weekend is looking like true peak. expect pure pandemonium. i recommend metroing in. parking will be limited and traffic will make you want to yell.
get it while itās hot. luckily, this year, theyāll last longer than they did last year.

spring in washington dc šøā¦
my two favorite seasons are spring and fall. for me, one signifies the beginning and one sort of signifies a glorious end.
thereās nothing like watching the world wake up from its grayish brown slumber with splashes of color.
while the cherry blossoms (sakura) are still waking up around the tidal basin, the magnolias across the street at the smithsonian gardens are already starting to show off.
get it while you can. happy sniffles season. š¤§

everything looks better with a little snow sprinkled on topā¦
ā¦this is an assortment of clicks from this one morning in california where i felt trapped in a snow globe. the good kind of trapped though.
i wish every morning was like this...
i went to sleep when it was pouring raining and low expectations and woke up for sunrise to this frosty goodness.
this is the morning that made me buy another camera body. there was so much to see and i wanted to capture it all but couldnāt.

standing amongst a giantā¦
ā¦factory butte never fails to make me feel small. the immense quiet, the giant ridges and the light and shadows around sunset help me get lost in a world of chaos.
thatās why i love this slice of the american south westā¦hanksville, utah. that feeling keeps me coming back.

winter landscapes are cooler from a birdās-eye viewā¦
ā¦just a roadside stop in snowy colorado.
once i get past the near frostbite, my favorite thing about snowy scenes is how quiet it gets.
a river runs through itā¦geometric shapes in nature always stop me in my tracks.
iāve driven past this area more times than i can remember and the shapes have always caught my eye. iāve stopped here 3 of those times but havenāt shared anything until now.
i understand how important light is. in utah, specifically, itās the difference between drab and vibrant colors. a little too much light and things easily get washed out.
understanding all of that, this place was still able to blow my mind when the conditions lined up.
i guess the third time is the charm because this is the first time iām sharing something from here.

aurora in the arizona desertā¦
ā¦i already had a visit planned to this spot for sunset. so, yesterday when i heard about the solar radiation storm, i was hopeful that iād get lucky enough to see the northern lights.
despite the app saying there was 0% chance, the aurora made an appearance around 7pm.
