👩🏻💻 they mostly operate on combo orders which varies depending on what you want to get. for me, combo 1 would be my go-to! it has chicken tenders, smashed potatoes, and toasts. all these dipped in the chick sauce = yum 🤤 the sauce is what makes it better both in flavor and mouthfeel bc otherwise it would be a bit dry which i'd say is normal for chicken tenders.

🔥 it's also worth to note that there are five levels of spice you can choose for your chicken: naked, mild, medium, hot, and extra hot. we got the mild and even that made us sweat a little bit 😅
🥛 i suggest you get their milkshake too to balance the heat! it's also really good (right thickness and sweetness) and pairs well esp with the chicken tenders (my favorite) 😝 and if that isn't enough, they also have ice cream sandwich for dessert!

in february, we celebrated my friend's birthday after she got back from her trip to bangkok. we had lunch at @eat.sabai , a beautiful thai restaurant at shangri-la the fort.
the food was great and familiar in flavor as is expected from sea cuisine, and the attentive staff and beautiful space really tied the whole experience together!

our lunch at @kong.mnl was easily one of my favorites this year! we're no strangers to kong since we were able to dine at their old spot in salcedo before they reopened in a new and bigger space at ayala triangle gardens. it still has the same open-kitchen concept but with greater seating capacity, exclusive menus, and overall elevated service and experience.
looking forward to come back in the new year and share the same delightful meal with people close to my heart.

we went to taipei last month and if there's anything i'm most excited to share, it would be our late night food trip at raohe night market and a short list of food that you shouldn't miss while you're here! ⬇️
🐖 boneless pork ribs — this was so tender and juicy 🤤 easily our favorite from this trip.
🍘 pork pepper bun — located right at the entrance. toasted and flaky exterior, soft interior bun with flavorful filling and served piping hot.
🍗 chicken cutlet — can't leave taiwan without trying a chicken cutlet! this was also sooo good esp with the pepper salt seasoning.
🍖 taiwanese sausage — photo is from ximending but you can find this almost anywhere. we liked the one in shifen the most because they score, glaze, and grill their sausages (see bottom right overlay), but they all pretty much taste the same.. like peppery longganisa! 😝
btw, it was convenient for us to go to raohe because our hotel (midtown richardson) is only 1-2min walk from ximen station, so we just took the green line mrt to songshan and raohe is just a few steps away from the exit.
shoutout to my friends: kbc, jlc, and jac! it was fun sharing bites of street food in a foreign country with you guys. 💝
