Look at that toastie! Edwin Lodder set off from @oceanturtlediving in Hampshire this morning on the first leg of his 2,300 km cycle to Spain 🚴‍♂️ for RNOH Charity and in honour of his mum. (2,300km! 🤯) He made a special stop at RNOH in #Stanmore to see his family and friends, and meet hospital staff and the charity team. To see the people who helped his mum, @vickylodder , walk again and who supported the whole family in learning how to help her. Now he’s giving back, raising money so others can get that same support. Good luck and thank you, @edwin_joel_lodder – we’re with you all the way. To see more and support Edwin, please head to his page via the RNOH Charity bio above. Thank you, @stolen.goat and to Edwin’s crew @kerrieeade1 @deanniki @kevsfreedominmotion @buddbill Huge thanks to sponsors 👇 Robertson Restoration | Symbiotic Impact | @combatfuel @kevsfreedominmotion #TeamRNOH #SpinalInfection #Recovery #Toastie #CharityCycle #Fundraising #NHSCharity @rnohnhs

RNOH Staff Awards. Each year, we present Long Service Awards to colleagues who have worked at RNOH for 25 years. Jacob John De Souza, PACS Administrator Jake joined RNOH in 2005 as a dark room technician in the X-ray department, working with traditional 'wet fill' film processing using chemicals. His role involved manually developing large films in a light-sensitive dark room, where any mistake meant starting the process again. In 2007, RNOH transitioned to digital imaging and Jake became a PACS administrator, embracing the move to the Picture Archiving and Communication System - PACS. Reflecting on his time at RNOH, Jake says, “RNOH has been good to me, it’s good to work with nice colleagues and I’ve enjoyed the work in the Imaging department over the years.” Jake could not make the awards event, so our CEO, Paul Fish, made sure he got his award.
