To everyone who has found their way here recently: welcome. 🤍 We know many of you are here because you’re looking for something concrete you can do in a moment that feels heavy, urgent, and unjust. The increased ICE activity has created real fear for immigrant families, and your solidarity matters. RMIAN exists to stand with immigrants through some of the most difficult moments of their lives, in detention, in court, and alongside their children. To get to know us we wanted to share our mission and values, and the way we show up with dignity, courage, and deep respect for the people we serve. Whether you’re new, returning, donating, sharing, or simply learning, thank you for being here. Community is built exactly this way.

We are the "nonprofits like these" in YOUR community. RMIAN helps people defend themselves in Colorado immigration court and it makes a huge difference to the outcome of their cases. But #JohnOliver on @lastweektonight is right, we need your support. Please consider donating through the link in bio. Every single dollar counts. Thank you! #immigrationconsultant #immigrationlawyer #immigrationnews #immigrants #conews

On this International Day of Families, we celebrate the strength, love, and resilience that lives at the heart of our communities. 💛 At LCFC, we honor familia not just as a value, but as a responsibility—to protect, uplift, and stand alongside one another. That’s why we’re proud to partner with RMIAN, whose work reminds us that keeping families together is not guaranteed—it’s something that must be defended every day. Through legal services and advocacy, they stand with immigrants facing uncertainty, helping ensure that parents can stay with their children, that futures remain intact, and that dignity is never up for debate. Because celebrating families also means showing up for them—especially when it matters most.

Leaders, advocates, and legal professionals came together for RMIAN’s CLE training focused on filing habeas petitions and expanding access to justice for immigrant communities. ⚖️ Habeas petitions are a phenomenal tool lawyers use to challenge unlawful detention. Spaces like these matter because knowledge shared becomes action, and action creates stronger support systems for individuals and families navigating complex legal challenges. We’re grateful to everyone who participated, shared their expertise, and continues showing up in service of our communities. The work is ongoing, but so is the collective commitment to dignity, representation, and justice.

Motherhood is courage. Motherhood is sacrifice. Motherhood is rebuilding, protecting, enduring, and loving through every obstacle. Today we honor the mothers in our communities whose strength moves generations forward. Happy Mother’s Day from RMIAN. 💛 #MothersDay

RMIAN is fighting for immigrant rights wherever decisions are made, inside the courtroom and at the State Capitol. ⚖️🏛️ On March 25, we joined Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition and COPA for the 2026 Joint Lobby Day, where nearly 100 advocates met directly with legislators to champion policies that strengthen and protect our communities. From defending due process in court to advancing justice through policy, our work continues in every room where rights are on the line. #ImmigrantRights #Colorado

Every advocate has an origin story, and for many of us, it starts with being a child who wanted the world to be fairer. The children in these photos grew up to become the advocates, attorneys, and changemakers fighting so other children have what every child deserves: fair due process, access to legal representation, safety, and the chance to be heard. Meet the people behind the work and the younger selves who remind us exactly why it matters. 💙 #NationalChildrensDay #RMIAN #diadelñiño #ImmigrantJustice #diadelniño2026

Volunteer Week is a chance to recognize the people who strengthen impact through service. At RMIAN, volunteers are essential to expanding access to justice for immigrant communities. As retired attorney Mark Fulford shared, RMIAN’s high-level expertise and extensive connections allow volunteers to have maximum effect where it matters most. Mark took on his first asylum case in 2025 and helped secure withholding of removal for a young man from Mauritania, whose story reflects extraordinary determination: despite never having attended school, he taught himself to read and write Arabic while in detention and became fluent in English within a year. We are equally grateful for volunteers like Marina Oppenheimer, whose translation work helps ensure language is never a barrier to legal support. In her words, volunteering with RMIAN has been one of the best gifts life has offered me. This is what community-powered justice looks like: skilled volunteers, trusted partnerships, and immigrants whose talents strengthen all of us. #VolunteerWeek #RMIAN

He came to the U.S. as an unaccompanied child, survived abuse, and was granted Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, a protection meant to offer safety and stability. Years later, after a routine traffic stop, his life was turned upside down when he was suddenly re-detained by ICE and placed back into removal proceedings, with his asylum case frozen and no clear path forward. On January 13, 2026, a federal court ruled in RMIAN’s favor and ordered his immediate release, affirming that this treatment violated his constitutional rights. This landmark decision now reaches far beyond one person, giving others in detention hope, legal footing, and a powerful precedent to fight back.
