I know it’s a little late for a Halloween post but we haven’t had a proper photoshoot to announce this and our costumes were intentional😉 (except for my bra showing but I’m just too tired to even try and edit that out😅) ANYWAY, I finally got that 💍💍💍! The morning after our engagement this song flowed into my head and it’s extra special because after I sang the melody I was hearing internally @rmfwhitaker played guitar and voila! Not only is he playing guitar on it and has done his usual mixing and mastering magic but he also sang in the choir vocals (which we recorded in our musty yet echo-ey basement) so if you liked “Toast to us” then this is its baby sister. The sequel. The ENGAGED version 🩷 I could not be more proud of my fiancé 🥹
(Ps we tried to make a dance version of this because it was giving country vibes and I’m just not really a country gorl but the song came to me as it was and this is exactly how it sounded in my head so we let it be and exist without trying to force it into a different genre)
Oh and pps I took the longest break from social media so if I haven’t responded or communicated in anyway I apologize 🤭 my soul was going through a winter cycle of introspection and I’m finally thawing out… ironically as we approach winter 😅🤷🏻♀️
