Just wanted to say happy three year anniversary to my mTBI. Please, friends, be careful with your brains. Also for the general public out there in the internet world, be patient with people that have hit their head- most of my friends and loved ones have been and I’m thankful for that. I have it on the run but some days it’s still a struggle. I didn’t post this for sympathy- I needed that three years ago but not now. What I need now is for the medical system and the workmen’s comp insurance companies to get better at listening to people and finding solutions for people it in the future, that whole experience has sucked, period. (Especially @selectiveinsurance who dropped my case while I’m still being treated, without even notifying me and I still have unpaid bills.) The brain is magical and can re-program neural pathways but it’s slower than the longest road construction project you can ever think of. #tbi #concussion #workmenscomp #healing #neuroplasticity
