Sometimes little things - music, pictures or something on the social media - can bring back memories and make you reminisces about the good days.
There are so many creators out there, music, fashion, art, ..... or businesses. You probably started from love or curiosity, or perhaps some of you for money. Whatever the reason, if you didn’t start, nothing would ever be created. So why judge? The most important thing is whether you start or not. I hope you’re enjoying your creation and know this way that there are still a lot of people who need or love your creation and service you offer.
To those of you who are still in the game and continue to grow - your creativity and your ability to make things happen are beautiful. While businesses often need to run at a fast pace as part of an everyday routines, creation is not a competitions. Is it?
Do you know so many artists take breaks?
Sometimes for years before returning. But that doesn’t mean they’re quitting. I believe nothing wrong to take your time until you’re sure, to correct your ideas and ready to create what you want to bring out into the world. Especially you are doing on the side of your school or full time job, it can sometimes be hard to keep up. When things get tough it’s easy to feel fear and run away, but you know, when you truly know yourself, do you really need to be? You can come back and start again.
So whatever you’re still doing, what you love or in the process of nurturing ideas, congratulations. Let’s stay positive and keep going♡

When I was late 10’s to mid 20’s I went clubs 1-3 days most of a week. I was always surrounded people who does music, I started singing on the stage when I was 18, I started hanging out at the record shop almost everyday after work. I knew places, I knew owners and artists, my people were always there. My intention was not just to party (I couldn’t drink alcohol too back then), but I wanted to feel and be in the music, dance until morning (clubs are open until 5am in Japan) like I don’t need to think anything. Sometimes I drove 50min home to slept 30min and get ready again, drove back 50min to work which near where I was. Sometimes, drove 2-3 hours to see artists then same day still smiling to customers like I slept well. My passion and love for the music and people never stopped me doing it. I chose to study fashion(my commute to school was 2hours each way) so my singing life didn’t last long. Well, 2 month ago one of my old friend messaged me “I went to Natty clue (local reggae sounds)’s anniversary party. They played the song that you guys recorded dub for them and I just wanted to message you!”
All of good time memories came back. All of my past experiences created who I am now, I was happy to hear the news.

The weather was incredible, we had a beautiful shoot on the lake. It was such a beautiful time.
After the shooting we went to Chinatown for the dinner. When we are leaving the car till the very last minute I thought of taking my stuff to the restaurant. But then we were like but this is on Spadina, people are here and we’ll be back soon. We all know that we shouldn’t leave stuff in the car and I knew.. I should’ve trust my little voice. Within 1 hour my camera was gone. When we back to the car nobody noticed that the window was broken until we actually opened the door. I tried to be calm but was really sad. All of our beautiful pictures are gone. I just wanted to get back my SD cards that has beautiful our memories. And we all were feeling same.
My friend told me “we should do it tonight again. My boat will be out soon.” I thought it was impossible. I don’t have a camera, the model is leaving 4am to travel to Vancouver next day. We told him “it will be difficult”. He asked us again “what time is the earliest you guys can make it? You can use my camera.”
As soon as I woke up I started searching same model camera (I was using light weight camera, I felt regular cameras are heavy for me.) and purchased on marketplace. She pushed her schedule for this to work. It was really hectic but then we made impossible to possible. We couldn’t shoot much good pictures, we couldn’t catch up sunset, It was really cold compare than just one night before. But now we have no regrets. I’m really grateful to having friends who are supportive around me. After this night I committed to myself again to not giving up things that I want to create.
