Guy Brewer has long existed in the remote edges of electronic music.
He began experimenting with sound as a teenager, using a basic setup for his initial forays into drum & bass. In the early 2000s, he co-founded Commix, a duo that became central to the genre’s evolution, emerging as key figures in the post tech-step wave with releases on seminal labels including Metalheadz, Exit and 31 Records.
His latest project, Carrier (@c_a_r_r_i_e_r_ ), and debut album Rhythm Immortal distil this journey into a hypnotic, dubbed-out minimalism. Catch the live debut of the album, accompanied by visuals from Riyo Nemeth (@riyonemeth ).

I will be participating in a group exhibition, opening on the 1st of August.
In recent works, I’ve been creating photographs and video pieces shot using only the light of a 5mm bullet-type LED.
For this exhibition, I’ll be presenting a new video work developed through this approach.
