***Important Announcement! Please read to the end! *** Well guys, it’s been amazing. For 17 years you have shown up, and Sweetpea has been there, sparkling like a gem in the heart of our city. I have been so privileged to be there as your families expanded. Sometimes I was among the first to know you were expecting. We talked seriously about the joys and hardships of pregnancy, babies, kids, life. You showed up and supported my dream in ways that proved to me over and over that our community is alive and well. In the early years, I had three babies of my own and Sweetpea accommodated as I worked with a newborn on my hip, my mother stepping up to the till as I slipped away to the famous blue “nursing couch”, which was always open to anyone who needed it. Covid shutdowns were a difficult prospect, but again I felt our community’s embrace. I have fond memories of driving all over town, my kids in tow, delivering your online orders. I put a heart on every bag, because I truly felt so much love and appreciation for every person who skipped the easy thing (Amazon) and put their money into the heart of our little town. It’s ours to love, and I’m so proud that Sweetpea has been a bright spot in it for so many years. If you’ve gotten this far in this post, it’s because you care, and that’s exactly what I’m hoping for. It’s now time for me to pass the torch! My heart is itching for a new adventure, and I'm ready to stretch my wings. It’s now time for someone with fresh energy to step forward and make the store her own. Could that person be you? This business is turn-key and ready for you to walk into. 17 years worth of loyal customers locally and all across Canada. It is currently profitable being open only 2 days per week, and has true growth potential.
