In April I finally got to go into production on a short film I wrote before the pandemic started. “Chocolate Cake (and other discrepancies)” is a moment in the lives of two queer roommates as their views of their community and each other are altered in one conversation. Directing this piece, working with this amazing cast and crew, really felt like the culmination of all my hard work over the last 4 years as a film major. I’m so grateful to have had these people by my side, passionate about making this project happen.
