This event is held in conjunction with the ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the new Santa Ana River (SAR) Maintenance Facility!

You are invited to attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Santa Ana River (SAR) Maintenance Facility, held in conjunction with the Public Works Week celebration, Rodeo for a Reason!
This new facility represents a significant investment in the long-term stewardship of the Santa Ana River corridor. It will support operations that protect, preserve, and enhance critical habitat, while strengthening coordinated outreach efforts for individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness within the river area.
Following the ceremony, guests are welcome to attend Rodeo for a Reason, a heavy equipment rodeo showcasing the skill and precision of Public Works professionals.

RivCoParks celebrates the success of its 2026 Earth Day and Arbor Day celebrations, which brought together more than 300 volunteers across the region to support environmental stewardship and community engagement.
Throughout April, community members of all ages participated in a wide range of educational programs, guided hikes, and hands-on volunteer opportunities hosted at over 12 regional parks, nature centers and historic sites across Riverside County. Activities included tree planting, habitat restoration, and interpretive experiences designed to promote sustainability and conservation in natural environments.
Community members interested in volunteering or participating in stewardship programs year-around, are encouraged to get involved. For more information, please email [email protected]!
