It's been a hectic semester so far, so I've been fairly quiet on social media. But, @amandaswansonphotography just dropped these FIRE Fearne photos on me and I had to share one of my favorites. I improved a lot on Fearne between AWA and this shoot, so I'm really proud of how the costume looked during the shoot. I told Amanda that I felt ethereal during the shoot, and the photos just magnify that! While our original location didn't work out, we did find this beautiful waterfall and took pictures on the topside! Can't wait to share more from this shoot! We are excited to announce our second cosplay guest, Rival Skies! RivalSkies once told a friend that she could never see herself cosplaying, as she was too shy. Almost 20 years later, she eats those words on the regular. Rival has been cosplaying since 2010 and loves to help those that are newer to the hobby. Though Rival claims no real speciality, she does have a love for creating props along side her cosplays. An Alumni of TTU, Rival often thinks back to her time during college that helped her hone her love of cosplay. It was here that cosplay really got its start for her. ROY’S OUR BOY! Years of waiting until I felt confident enough to start this build. Years of planning and gathering fabrics and tutorials. And 8 months of building later here we are! This is the longest I’ve spent planning and building a cosplay. I’ve had the wig for at least 7 years, some of the fabrics since 2022, and I’ve been slowly gathering resources for just as long. @bighouse.cos was kind enough to print and assemble the sword of seals for me back in like 2021 or 2022 and I was finally ready to get to painting on it! Worbla and armor are not something that I have a lot of experience with, so this was a huge learning process for me. I messed up a lot, but I gained so much knowledge in the process!! Am I totally done with this boy? No, and I have a lot of tweaks that I want to make in the future, but for now, I’m satisfied! Wig is from @ardawigs a Magnum in Rust Red (I believe?
