🤩 It’s almost time! Next Wednesday, our RITA Community Center will open its doors. It is a home for culture, education, creativity, and encounters, characterized by bringing together different groups: from queer grassroots organizations to taxi drivers, from LGBTQ+ seniors and corporations to drag kings and queens and policymakers. In that sense, the RCC is the antidote to polarization.

25 years ago, at midnight on April 1st 2001, the first same-sex couples officially married in Amsterdam's city hall. The Netherlands made history. ❤️
In the years that followed, country after country followed: Belgium, Spain, Canada, South Africa, Argentina, France, Ireland, and many more.
25 years later, we celebrate this milestone. And we keep fighting. Because acceptance in the Netherlands is going backwards, not forwards.
RITA exists for everyone who still faces discrimination for who they are or who they love. Your experiences matter. Your story matters.
