TODAY I am one step closer to bringing you my first full-length album, Horizon - my Kickstarter to cover final fees launched this morning (link in bio)!! Even if you’re not able to contribute, please take a look - the page tells the story of how this album came to be and what you can expect from it. (And also I worked super hard on it.) I think the final paragraph sums it up well:
“I know we’re in some tumultuous and scary times, and part of me feels it’s very trite to ask for your hard-earned cash at a time that’s so full of uncertainty. But I really believe in this project; I believe it’s bigger than me, and I believe it’s a great example of what you get when you move through the voices of fear into the Light. I can’t go back in time and tell that lonely, worried child I once was that her very wildest dreams would come true one day- but I can tell you all now that those little seeds planted in our hearts aren’t there for no reason. I hope this album can be an opportunity for you to move through the grief you may be carrying, and to trust that the future can be a bright and brand-new thing.”

FINAL STRETCH of the Kickstarter !! I haven’t mentioned this much but I’ve also been teaching workshops around the US this month and dumping any income from that into my Kickstarter campaign, haha. I had a blast with the Port City Ukuholics yesterday !! Between ONE LAST workshop tomorrow & your help I know we can get this campaign to the finish line by 3/31. Part of the Kickstarter is covering payment for my baby sister, who’s doing the album art for Horizon (swipe for reference pic). Her senior art show is tonight @art_sewanee !! Here’s a progress pic, when she did the art for my EP she stopped midway to charge me for emotional damages when I asked her to change something - then compared me to Barry Gordy and herself to Marvin Gaye during the release of What’s Going On. if you donate today I can hopefully cover her emotional damages fee for this work 🎨
