Big news over here, we’re now offering locally milled flour from Virginia Heritage Mills in convenient 2 lb bags 🤎🌾 You can now purchase: • Whole Wheat Flour • Sifted Bread Flour Both flours are milled from certified organic wheat berries and are available directly through our website (link in bio) or can be added onto Thursday pickup orders. This is the very same flour we use in a great handful of our baked goods, so if you’ve ever loved the flavor, depth, and character of our breads and pastries, this flour is a huge part of that story. Freshly milled flour truly makes a difference, and we’re so excited to help connect more people with incredible local grain and the hardworking millers behind it all. What an amazing day taking the trip out to visit @seyloubakery & Mill yesterday. This bakery has been on my list for quite some time now, and I’m so thankful my mom helped with my girls so I could take a solo trip out and savor every minute of it. Truly one of the most memorable bakery experiences I’ve had. I’ve had quite a few people asking where to find freshly milled flour here in Virginia, so I wanted to share one of my go-to sources @heritagevirginiamills 🤍 For my flour staples, hard red wheat and sifted (bread) flour, I consistently reach for Heritage Virginia Mills. Their flour is milled incredibly fine, and you can truly see and feel the difference in your bakes. The quality is exceptional, and using certified organic, freshly milled grains is something I deeply value in my baking. Just thinking back to last week’s country loaves. These are always the first ones in the oven each morning. They’re easily one of my favorite bakes, and I love the way the Rackmaster oven brings them to life. @campbell2664 you are truly a legend! 🙌🏻👏🏻 Baked with @wades_mill whole grain hard red ❤️

Extremely pleased with how my 50% whole grain seeded loaf turned out this morning. This was baked in standard loaf pans in a home oven. Can’t wait to see these come out of the Rackmaster🙏. This blend of hard red wheat, spelt, and bread flour, paired with roasted mixed seeds tossed in honey and EVOO, brought such a beautiful balance of flavor. My previous version was good, but I really wanted to move away from that slightly tannic, harsh edge and this is it. A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to consult with @joshfairbanksbread , and we talked through several things, including this loaf. His insights were incredibly valuable and truly helped refine my process to get here. So grateful for your guidance, Josh. You’re a wealth of knowledge 🙏. If anyone is looking to elevate their baking and dial things in, he’s your guy.

Yesterday was such a whirlwind I barely had time to snap photos but I’m still blown away by the support shown yesterday morning. We brought a few new things yesterday - breakfast focaccia slices, fig thyme and honey focaccia slices, new cookie flavors and of course our new cinny rolls. I didn’t have time to snap any pics except for when I was heading out😅. I genuinely thought I baked way too much… but wow, I was shocked when we completely sold out by 10:30 🤯 A huge THANK YOU to Amy at @altarcoffeeva for inviting me to pop up alongside some of the most talented growers @starcitystems in the Roanoke Valley. What a gift🫶🏻🥹. This was our very first sell-out event, and I truly can’t thank you all enough for showing up, supporting, and sharing so much love. It means more than I can put into words. Hoping we can do this again very soon 🫶🏻🫶🏻

For a while, I knew something was missing from our sourdough cookie lineup and I finally figured this one out🫶🏻. Meet our Triple Chocolate Sourdough Cookies. Made with a rich blend of Dutch cocoa and black cocoa, then loaded with white chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate, and 71% dark chocolate for layers of deep, complex flavor.
