Take Your Child to Work Day at Rise Structural Group was a success, and the office definitely had a different kind of energy today 👷♀️👷♂️
We introduced our junior engineers to the basics of structural engineering, gravity loads vs. lateral loads, and how buildings actually stand up 🏗️
Then we put it to the test:
• Marshmallow + toothpick structures hit with “wind loads” from a fan 🌬️
• Popsicle stick structures pushed to failure under reams of paper and the trusty green Steel Manual 📚
• Lots of real-time problem solving and “why did that fail?” moments 🧠 🤔
Lunch was Chick-fil-A 🍗, followed by some conference room table ping pong 🏓
Simple concepts, hands-on learning, and a good reminder that this is how interest in engineering starts.

We started Rise Structural Group in a home office. Three years later, we have a real one!
As of March 2026, we’re officially located at:
📍4500 Brooktree Road, Suite 210, Wexford, PA 15090
Since launching in June 2023, we’ve operated fully remote. That worked well, but as the team and project load grew, a dedicated office was the right next step.
One of the main drivers behind this move is mentorship. Working side by side and solving problems in real time creates opportunities for day-to-day learning that are hard to replicate on a screen.
The new 2,100 SF space gives us room to collaborate more effectively, support our clients, and continue building strong relationships and partnerships.
We’ll continue operating in a hybrid environment, but it’s good to have a home base.
