From a simple morning idea in my bedroom 3 years ago to being named Best Holistic Sunrise Alarm Clock by CNN Underscored. 🤯
When I started Rise Centered, I didn’t want another plastic gadget cluttering the nightstand—I wanted something simple, natural, and beautiful. No apps. No subscriptions. Just an intentional product designed to help you wake up gently and reconnect with your mornings.
We’re not on Amazon. We don’t do shortcuts. Every clock is crafted from natural materials, designed to last, and created with care. To be recognized alongside big industry names and still stand out as the best holistic option is the kind of moment that brings it all full circle.
Thank you for supporting my dream. Here’s to more peaceful mornings ahead. 🌞✨
A customer told me one of the things she loves most about Rise Centered is the weight of it, that it feels substantial, grounding, and intentionally made.
And it made me realize:
That’s exactly what I wanted this clock to feel like.
Like a weighted blanket, but for your mornings.

I used to think hating my alarm was just part of being a person with a job.
But that heart-jump feeling when a loud alarm goes off? That’s not nothing. It’s your body being startled awake.
A loud alarm can trigger cortisol and adrenaline, the same hormones involved in fight-or-flight. Which means before you’ve even opened your eyes, your nervous system is already getting the message: something is wrong.
That always felt backwards to me.
Your body already has a natural way of waking up. Cortisol is supposed to rise in the morning: gradually, to help you feel alert. The problem is when we replace that process with a sudden, aggressive sound and then wonder why mornings feel so hard.
Rise Centered starts brightening 30 minutes before your alarm time, so your body can begin waking before the sound ever goes off.
Less jolt. Less panic. Less starting the day like you’re being chased.
Just a better way to wake up.

the rise centered clock has been by my desk for almost a year, and now on my bedside too. the two clock-lamps are how i wake up without a phone alarm and how i wind down without an overhead light. the sunrise function is the closest thing i’ve found to a phone-free morning that still gets me out of bed on time, and the warm glow it puts off at night is what made tuesday and sunday on this list feel possible.
emily from @risecentered and i partnered to bring three of you this lamp + the complete collection of my tools, including the journaling architecture and the dopamine menu guide.

Who else has made it a goal to wake up without doomscrolling?

what’s in them including the light, the inputs, what the body is asked to process before it’s ready and what it’s given before it needs to sleep, runs more of our emotional baseline, cortisol curve, and sleep architecture than most of what happens in between. using the @risecentered lamp/clock for the better part of a year has proven to me how intricately those things are connected.
this himalayan salt clock lives in two rooms now—the altar behind my desk since october, and the bedside table since last week when emily sent a second one, and it is the single most loved thing in my house right now.
