The ESK8 Spec category delivered one of the most technical races from our TEF1 NorCal 2025 event, there’s no advantage from the board, only rider skill, race strategy, and the ability to push and handle better than the competition.
Tight corners, close drafting, and a final push to the finish for 3rd place made this race one to watch from start to finish. It’s exactly the kind of competition that shows what electric spec category racing is all about.

With some stiffer @riptidesports bushings, these trucks have solid stability at speed. The main reason for the bushing swap is for more rebound & return energy when pumping! 💪🏻
I'll get into the bushing combo in a future video. After different trials I found the combo for me and have stuck with it for months now, so I'll go into further detail soon!
But remember, more than anything, balance & speed wobbles are all in the ankles, even with soft bushings! 🦶🏻
Not much of a downhill but it was a solid lil speed test to see what these trucks are capable of ⚡

BIG NEWS! We’ve added a ESK8 Spec category to TEF1 NorCal. TEF1 in partnership with @stoogeraceboards , @mad.esk8 , and @riptidesports , have added a new pre-show racing category for TEF1 NorCal 2025.
We are excited to announce the ESK8 (e-skate) Spec category. A pre-show event that will have three back-to-back heats to kick off the TEF1 NorCal race day event on Saturday, October 18th at Sonoma Raceways.
20 spots are available for this racing category, BOARDS WILL BE PROVIDED by Stooge Raceboards (that’s right, we will provide the boards), and registered racers will all receive a TEF1 NorCal jersey with registration.
Thank you to Riptide Sports, MAD ESK8, and Stooge Raceboards for all coming together with TEF1 to make this happen! Together we will help foster the future of PEV and ESK8 racing!
