Goodbye, My Beautiful House It’s been six months.
Only now I am starting to truly understand what happened. And allow myself to cry.
Every time I return to what used to be my home, it aches.
I miss not just the belongings—my violins, shoes, jewelry, the cars—but the life that once filled this space.
The gatherings after Melodia Mariposa concerts, whether on the driveway or at the country club, the music, friends, the laughter, the late evenings in my backyard surrounded by the trees.
Now, those trees are standing there burnt—like skeletons—silent witnesses to all that was lost.
And yet… the roses I planted are still blooming.
As if untouched.
As if to remind me that beauty can survive even after devastation.
The flowers never gave up.
They live—and so do I.
Life goes on, but it will never be the same.
Today, finally, I can say goodbye. And cry again.
Goodbye, my beautiful house.
Thank you for holding so many memories.
The roses and flowers are still blossoming…
I had the loveliest visit with Wendy @wendyprobercohen at the donation boutique @freeconcertclothingco_op , a thoughtful and generous space created to support musicians who’ve lost so much in wildfires. Wendy’s kindness, the time she spent with me, and the care behind everything—from the coffee to the concert clothes and even the jewelry—meant more than I can say. I left not just with beautiful things to wear, but with a real sense of being cared for. I’m truly grateful. ❤️
Heartbroken to share that dear friend and extraordinary violinist Roberto Cani has passed. We’ve lost a rare talent and a truly beautiful soul. Rest in peace, Roberto. You will be deeply missed.

I lost my house in this devastating fire. My heart breaks for everyone going through the same. Sending love and strength to all of you — we’ll get through this together.
Today: Ronda, the city on a cliff over 2,000 years old, and Malaga, where Picasso was born—next stop, Sevilla! Loving the charm and soul of Spain at every turn.
It’s raining outside, but we found some snow here performing The Nutcracker with LA Ballet at the Dolby Theatre. Wishing you all the happiest holidays!
Exciting day at LA State Historic Park with “La La Land” in concert, featuring Oscar-winning composer Justin Hurwitz! #liveconcert
