Meet Rina Naik — the Spotlight Artist in the current group exhibition at IMAGO Gallery in Warren, RI.
Her series Tethering explores the tension between tenderness and endurance, layering painting, sculpture, and installation to reflect the inner terrain of perception, memory, and emotional space. Using handmade papers, threads, and fragments saved from earlier works, Naik creates transparencies and surfaces that hold light and feeling, inviting viewers to linger in the threshold between what is seen and what is sensed.
Naik is a transdisciplinary artist and Assistant Professor at Endicott College, with teaching experience at Suffolk University, RISD Continuing Education, and the Attleboro Arts Museum. Her work has appeared in juried and group exhibitions, received awards for excellence and merit, and is held in private collections.

From the viscosity of light to the tactile pull of materials, this new exhibition at IMAGO Gallery explores how works are built—mark by mark, surface by surface—and how they continue to shift the longer we look. Like a slow composition, each piece reveals itself over time, inviting sustained attention and a return visit.
This show brings together work by featured artist Stephen Fisher, spotlight artist Rina Naik, and guest artist William Kendall, along with work by other IFA artists working across a gamut of media and styles.

Open-riser stairs at the south-facing front were designed to bring natural light deeper into the open kitchen while maintaining visual connection between spaces. The intention was to create a sense of connection with light and sight throughout the home.
