Big thank you to @pamenar_km for the residency and to the beautiful people that came to support 🌹 you made this winter warmer and brighter. It has been a wonderful experience ❤️ As this will be the last show of the residency I wanted to invite my dear friends @hytham_farah and @naghmehfarahmand_ to join me in bringing Egyptian mazzika that we love by artists like Warda, Shadia, Abdel Wahab, Sayed Darwish, Sayed Makkawi and more. In an effort to continue to make music accessible for all, this show will follow a pay what you can model (no tickets). Anything you can contribute will help us cover our costs and continue to produce such events 🌼

✒️📖 As the days rolled into a spiritual February, it felt appropriate to honour classical arabic poetry that mesmerised us and inspired great music. I'll be joined this residency round by amazing musicians that I'm lucky to call friends: @naghmehfarahmand_ an incredible Percussionists - a first time for us to play together outside an orchestra setting ❤️ @peterhenryholbrook on piano - he manages to always bring out the best in us 🙏🌹 @illarramusic dearest to my heart and a voice that brings us peace and access to the most precious parts of who we are. He will also be singing songs in classical arabic poetry (let's see if we could persuade him to sing some originals too 🫠❤️) A huge thank you to @salmahaitham for the photo she took of me 📸 🥹 @salmahaitham I am amazed by your eye for photography you infallibly capture our spirit! 😘 I promised to bring قهوة and تمر. That's still the plan 🤝 Thank you @pamenar_km for this residency 🌷 No tickets will be sold for this show.
